Niki O'Brien:

Operations & Outreach

Niki works in Operations and Outreach for Custom Exteriors. She taps the experience and skills from decades in the construction industry to write our informative blog on everything from choosing the right paint to ladder safety to roof maintenance. Her construction knowledge is trusted by many reputable sources, including U.S. News & World Report, Better Homes and Gardens, and Realtor.com, to name a few.

Niki’s professional career began at the young age of 16. She was a licensed electrician less than five years later. For over a decade, she honed her skills, tackling everything her electrical career sent her way. She and Mike began remodeling/flipping homes in their 20s, where her construction skills were built by hands-on experience time and time again.

Here’s where things took a turn that some may describe as “an interesting choice.” With no prior experience, she is taking on the Custom Exteriors website redesign and all the social media and creating the face of Custom Exteriors. This has proven easier than expected because Custom Exteriors has one of the best teams around. Skilled professionals who are also real people. Content isn’t that hard with such a great environment and group of people.

She is married to Custom Exteriors founder Mike O’Brien, and they have one beautiful daughter and three dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, watching Dateline, listening to Dateline, Keith Morrison, and so on. She also likes sunburning her legs only below her capri pants line and trying random experiments with our social media. This generally results in someone wearing a costume.

The team hides from her and does not like Receiving emails from her!

While Niki modestly describes herself as having “no experience” in running our social presence, well, that’s all. She isn’t a marketing expert. She is me. I am not a marketing expert. But, what I am is a skilled construction professional. I have seen just about everything you can see when building a house. These include finding an injured and angry owl inside a framed house. Watching animal control try to catch said owl in a cardboard box and running from a large and angry bird is a zero out of ten. Or how about the time I put my hand in a dead animal as I was crawling through the crawlspace of a 100-year-old home? I digress.

We aim to take our experience and combined knowledge and make it something you learn from and are entertained by. So, wish us luck!!

Stephanie Pannone:

Customer Service lead

Let us introduce Stephanie Pannone, the beating heart of our customer service team at Custom Exteriors. Since joining us in 2019, Stephanie has brought her exceptional qualities and dedication to everything she does.

Stephanie’s ability to solve problems and her organizational skills make her an invaluable team member. Her dedication to ensuring that every customer’s needs are met with understanding and care sets the standard for our commitment to excellence in customer service.

Her support and willingness to work seamlessly with our whole team, bridging gaps and ensuring that our projects run smoothly from start to finish. Her kind and approachable nature makes her a trusted point of contact for our clients and team members.

Beyond her professional life, Steph is the proud mother of four children and recently got engaged to her excellent partner. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her first grandbaby, cooking, and enjoying Colorado’s beautiful outdoors. On a recent visit to Minnesota, Steph visited the home of one of her favorite musical artists, Prince.
